- Adam Smith was USF top runner in 2012 and was 13th of 14 USF runners in 2011 at USF Invite as USF held out its top runners in 2012
- Adam Smith’s picture on the USF website has his singlet looking like the letter P for Poway, where he attended high school
- USF Invite results show Santa Clara Men in 5th with the same team score as two 4th place teams. Santa Clara’s website stated they finished 6th. NCAA rules state ties are not to be broken except for advancement to NCAA championships.
